Kibo Hut is a high-altitude base camp located on Mount Kilimanjaro, serving as the final official overnight stop before climbers attempt the summit. It is situated on the Kibo volcanic cone within the alpine desert zone of the mountain. The hut is a crucial lodging point for climbers on the Marangu Route and is also used on the Rongai Route. It is considered the highest permanent accommodation camp inside Kilimanjaro National Park.
